It seems to me that summer is kind of birthday parties and many other celebrations that give us reasons to buy new dolls for little girls. Not that I need a reason to buy my girls dolls, but I do like to keep an eye on what parents think the best of their for their children.
The following is my list of the five top rated dolls for toddlers as of July 15, 2011 based on reviews and ratings from parents and grandparents.
5. Rosy Cheeks Baby Boy
Coming in at number five for our top-rated doll list is the incredibly cute rosy cheeks baby boy doll by North Americans Bear Company.
This adorable, plush velour doll would be ideal for toddlers, but I see it also being promoted as a way to help introduce the concept of a new baby brother to children that are a little older.
It stands 15 inches tall, and is very cute with small, embroidered facial features as well as a little belly button, defined fingers, toes, ears and bottom. He arrives wearing a little baby newborn hospital gown, beanie and diaper, as well as a hospital patient wristband which the date of “birth” can be written on it.

Brianna is a charming little doll. She’s cute and cuddly, and small children and toddlers tend to take to her very easily. She can be posed to set up or lay down and can suck her thumb or the suckie that comes with her. While she is a cuddly doll that toddlers can easily drag around, her best feature by far is her hair, which is quite durable and stays shiny.
Brianna makes number four on our list of top rated dolls because customers reveal that this doll is both durable, and it appeals to young children.
3. Mon Premier’s Calin Charming Pastel
Calin is a very well loved doll by many children. With movable eyes and soft, bean stuffed body, this doll will light up the eyes of any little toddler. My favorite feature of this doll is that instead of smelling like plastic, it has the scent of calming vanilla.
This doll is also very durable, making it a great gift. Calin gets the number three spot on our list because of glowing reviews from parents telling how much their small children love this doll, and continue to grow up with this doll.
2. Classic Raggedy Anne & Raggedy Andy Dolls
While only one was technically on the list, I felt it important to list them both because as far as I’m concerned you can’t have one without the other. These dolls are a fantastic way to bridge the generation gap between parents and children, as these dolls actually are familiar to us from when we were children.
1. Baby Stella
Let me start by saying that it does not surprise me in the slightest that baby Stella is the current top-rated doll. If you’ve been reading our newsletter, you know how much I adore this doll, and of course my children too.
And the way I make this list is not based on my personal preference – I’ve received emails from satisfied customers, so you know it’s not just me raving about how fantastic Stella is.
Stella is so popular with my children that it’s almost like she’s become a part of the family. We can’t go anywhere without Stella, and since we purchased our first Stella, I’ve had to buy one for each of the children to stop them from fighting over. She’s just one of the best dolls around.
